The security is set at the access point and not the network adapter. You set the security on the access point and then apply those security settings to the network adapter in order to authenticate to the access point. What type of wireless access point/router are you using on your home lan? There are many [...]

Have you checked to see if there is any routing in place for the 192.168.1.x network? If this network is not routed, this could be your problem.

If all you want to do is push out OS Patches then look into SUS from Microsoft. If you want to push out patches for applications, such as Word, or programs from other companies, like Acrobat Reader, then you will have to look into other programs. There are many of them ranging from basic ones [...]

I’m afraid we’ll need more information before we’re able to help you out…. What exactly didn’t work? Did the install fail? Did the OS bluescreen? Or does the software just not proxy properly? On an unrelated note, what led you to choose Windows as a proxy server? I’m going to assume that the proxy is [...]

bandwidth distribution-2
Access speeds are typically controlled from their routers or by the circuit, sometimes on both. In the case of a T1 all 24 channels of the circuit are provisioned for data and the router handles the bandwidth settings. If you decide that you only require half a T1 they modify the circuit to only provision [...]

You can use conduits. I know everyone likes to use ACLs but conduits work great for me. Just add the following line and it should work. This will allow any thing on the outside network to get to public ip 195.x.x.x accross port 3389. Then your static command will push it to your internal IP. [...]
