What type of internal chat client can we deploy on our intranet for employees to use when they are connected to our network? I’d love suggestions. All I know of is OCS.

What is the easiest way to share a spreadsheet between multiple users in Excel?If I am setup in a work group environment and need multiple users to use the same spreadsheet, I know you can do the “select Share Workbook under the Tools menu” but how does that affect saving edits for each user if it is open by another user? What other options are available?

Is it possible to install different applications depending on who logs into a computer located on my sbs 2003 server network. We already have different groups for different departments and now we need to assign applications on a per user basis. This will give us the ability to have an application follow a user from workstation to workstation.

Web based application not uploaded ON SERVER sometimes

We are having the Web based software which is uploaded on our server on technology of front end: PHP & backend: MS SQL Server 2005.
Some times this application can not uploaded, so plz give the solution to solve this problem. Actually this application is developed by third party and they update this application remotely on our server……
Also this application under development..
If we check by pinging the address, it give response but application can not uploaded.
And we does not rectify where exactly the problem is in hardware or software setting or configuration or server for loading this Web application.
One more thing is that, the configuration was take placed by third party they dont tell the setting & configuration.
If we asked them application is not work, then they answered that in our side its open, there is problem in your server….etc etc ..
So please help us..

i need to connect two computers which are 2km away to run the internal sales software. The data is large and the band width required is 35 mb .the speedm is important to rune the billing software.

Help Removing Wireless connection in a Gatewat T-Series (MSVistahome)

I have lost the facilities to completely remove a wireless connection router … LOL

Some time ago I do remember doing this task, but I have worn this path down to rock running in circles on this one trying to find & remove it.

—From control panel/network & sharing/manage Wireless I get to “manage” networks using that router…but no networks shown & I want to remove/reset that router association on this laptop

-click add network & in range gets me to a ‘connect-to” screen listing “that” router {that has an active Sprint usb modem plugged into it-also=being used & connected to by the gateway in the recent past}

—from control panel/network connections I can disable but not remove nor adjust the settings of this listed router. right click to see properties will show the ‘connection uses’ items box.

—at one point I did attempt to go with renaming this & create a new wireless connect, but hit a wall when pc would not auto establish & offered up the usb to my router option for settings. This is not an option. I/they just have the bytes in disarray here in gatewayVille !!

Any work arround suggestions…

oh, yes there is a sprint dialer package onboard the gateway, yes the wifi/wireless switch is off.

Any good hints/clues/suggestions or work-thru….??

Trunking 3Com with Cisco

I want to connect Vlans in cisco 3750 with Vlans 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4200,
by using trunking ports in the cisco and 3Com switches.

please some one help me how to configure the trunk port in both switches.

I have two Cisco 3750 redundant switches, a BlueCoat, an exchange server, a microwave connection, I want to connect them to a Cisco ASA 5510, and make a DMZ for the exchange server,
Please some one give me an optimized diagram for the connection of those devices.

I have a 2950 switch and its set only as an Access layer switch. uplinks arent even trunked. im using the native VLAN for mgmt and a different vlan for the users. the switch is being able to work as layer 2,switching packets. but im not able to ping the IP for the mgmt VLAN.
there is a default GW, IP and subnets are correct. im using Version 12.1(19)EA1a.
