What is a bus voltage?

I couldn’t find any accurate and direct meaning/definition for a bus
voltage, can you help me out in defining what it is and what it does.

I’m working on some Linksys products and was meaning to see if I can use bus voltage with them.

I have a home network which has 4 PCs and a couple of gaming platforms connected to it. I have a LinkSys 100 cable modem. I DID have two routers connected to it, one from the cable to the first router which fed directly to the main PC about 4 feet away. The other feed was to another router about 40 feet away in the front of my house. I do NOT know the brand of the first router. The second router is a Zonet ZFS 1008. All was working well, until the first router was removed and taken out of the system/house. We reconnected two of the PCs to the second router, and it aint right. We can have either of the PCs go online but not both at the same time. We have tried everything in our reportoirre to get it to work correctly. The ONLY change was the deletion of one router. This system is hard wired ONLY.

I recently replaced my 6-year-old D-Link wireless router
with Linksys WRT54GL. I am wirelessly
connected with a Windows desktop, Apple laptop, and Brother laser printer. While setting up the new Router I had
difficulty in setting up as DHCP.
So I selected PPPoE and used address as 10.10.10.1. I also selected WPA2
security algorithm. Everything
seems to be working fine and I am able to print both from my Windows and Apple
devices.

My question is what is the advantage of selecting DHCP,
which I had before (on D-Link router). Do I need to try again? Pros and cons on DHCP vs. PPPoE?

Adding two branches to our network

We use Active Directory, DHCP, network printers, file servers, and we’re going to add two branches to our network. We want our users to get IP addresses by DHCP and assigned to the AD server. We want remote branches, but I couldn’t give the same subnet to remote users, right? I’d love to know people’s suggestions for VPN connections: Linksys VPN router or Cisco MPLS configuration?
