Do I need my small business server?

I would like to eliminate my small business server as we are downsizing and only need to network 4 computers. Is it necessary to have the server? How would I join the four computers so that we are able to share a printer and documents?

I’m about to create a project using VB.net and Microsoft SQL Server. It’s not difficult when i’m running it on 1 single computer. The problem is, this application should be located in 1 server and accessible through the network. Is there something different i have to do, or i only need to add the connection string as what i do to run it in a single computer. I have heard that i need to make some kind of “handshake” thing to connect the network, and i don’t have any idea about that.

I spoke with one of the head honchos of Interop, and asked him what advice he had for conference goers to get the most out of a conference … if such trips were still in their budget.

If you go to conferences, what do you do to prepare, and any advice in how to go and actually get stuff done?

Can I prevent OSPF from advertising a specific network on an interface

Is there a way to tell OSPF to not advertise a specific network on a

spefic interface without stopping the adverts of other networks?

Example

Router has 5 interfaces

F1 is a link to another router

F2 is a link to another router

F3 = netB

F4 = netC

F5 = netD

I need nets BCD to be advertised out F1 and F2 but not each other.

Similarly I need nets learned on F1 and F2 to be advertised on F1, F2

and F3 only.

I’ve looked at the passive interface command but I don’t think it will

do what I want.

DHCP: No allocation possible

Just curious what tools you have in your network toolkit? I’ve heard or used snort, TCPDump, NMap, but would love other suggestions
