my host os is windows xp..
and my guest os in vmware is vista…
this is how i setup connection host with guest..

xp local area connection ip: 192.168.10.2
default gateway : 192.168.10.3
loopback adaptor ip : 192.168.10.3
default gateway : 192.168.10.5
vmnet 1 : 192.168.10.5
default gateway : 192.168.10.7
guest os ip: : 192.168.10.7
default gateway : 192.168.10.2
dns : self ip
please correct me if i set any thing wrong or any thing i need to do more… used brigde networking… and rest all default connections…
xp and vista both are in WORKGROUP..
both systems ping each other.. so i assume these are in lan.. but non of these systems show each other in network place…. whats the problem… do they show only when set in domain group…. some one please help me … i need to practise remote assistance…
