After upgrading a win 2003 server from SP1 to SP2 we’re receiving a “[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server driver]Distributed transaction error”. When we roll it back to SP1 everything works fine again.

As far as I can see the MSDTC looks enabled, but are there any settings that are different between SP1 and SP2? What else could be the cause?

when execute an application that will connect to my machine for database access and next it’ll connect to DB server, at this time it produce “Communication Underlying Transaction has failed”.. then i searched so many forums, that says DTC error. Then i tried at Component services->MyComputer->MSDTC->security settings->checked all options with all combinations, but again provides same error.

then i reinstalled MSDTC, again it produces same error.. so many works are bending with this…

can any one help me?
