Microsoft Word 2003 VBA Endnotes

I have a report that I am creating in MS Word 2003 VBA. I need to place some text at the bottom of each section in a Footnote or Endnote. The report is not behaving and the Word Help is not helping, does anyone know a good site to explain how to use and give examples of using Endnotes and Footnotes?

Templates in Microsoft Word 2003

When I load a new Word document, it always appears without the headers and footers in view. I have to click "View, header/footer,close". If I save thsi as a new template, e.g.normal.dot, it does so, but still opens without the headers and ffooters. Really annoying. Any idease? Thnaks
