• Is it good to have child domain just to have different naming convention as per project?

We have abc.net parent domain. For new client we want to create new.abc.net child domain so that users from abc.net can access resources in child domain new.abc.net Is it a good idea to create child domain in this scenario. Or is it recommended to have RODC or an additional DC .
