Where should we store a copy of the Windows Server 2003 R2 installation files?
As a matter of course, one of the techs here started copying the i386 folder from the installation disc to the PC hard drive on every PC he set up. I didn’t stop him, because I saw it to be useful when we later needed to add a feature that wasn’t installed in the initial [...]

Installing Windows 2008 recovery console on windows server 2008 server
Looks like the old recovery console has been superseded… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Recovery_Environment It looks like the following link describes (eventually) how to install it to a partition…but it seems to be quite convoluted…have fun! http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winservergen/thread/1be47c9d-c701-44f3-a2b5-6ec0c655a5cd

Can we use a Windows server 2003 standard disk?
If all you need of the disk is the recovery console, you should be OK. If you need to go beyond that, you are going to need the SBS media. The two server versions have quite a few differences between them.

VMware on Windows 7
Vmware can run on Windows 7…. See the Link Here. If u want Vmware Workstation, this is Here Though i recommended to use Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. If u wan to run XP inside 7, then go for XP mode Or try Oracle VM Virtual Box

Accessing email with Outlook on multiple computers
According to what I’ve read from Microsoft…you should not set up access to PST files on a network drive! I’ve seen this work at times, but at other times cause some corruption…so…beware! http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2007/01/21/network-stored-pst-files-don-t-do-it.aspx As was mentioned, you could look into Exchange ($$$), or even Zimbra, or open-Xchange for your needs. ——— I would firstly recommend [...]

Hello TeachMeIT, Sorry but MSE are designed to *Home/Small Business Users*. If you need/have more that that you might need Forefront.
