do a search on XP-Tweak tools on the internet, there are a lot of them out there, use that before you sysprep and it could fix your problem, on my corporate image I take messager, games, media player, MSN off before I make the image.
Join your new Exchange Server to the existing organization. Use the Exchange System Manager on the 2003 server to move the mailboxes since it’s multi-threaded, and will move 4 mailboxes at a time. You can also queue up all the mailboxes and just let it run. Then move your system mailboxes, fix your connectors to [...]
Hi, Sounds like your experiencing a compatibility issue between the 5.5 server and your 2003 version. In native mode Windows Server 2003 w/ Exchange 2003 will require full AD compatibility with other servers on the network to function fully i.e. replication tasks etc. In addition, there are many different technologies and changes to existing technologies [...]
You could maybe check that you aren’t trying to print on both sides of your paper sheets. When doing so, some printers print only odd pages or only even pages.
Bugwit, Are you staying with the same Exchange Organization or are you migrating to a new one? Also of interest would be do you have budget for third party tools? If so there are several tools that have been used by several firms with good results. If you are building Exchange 2003 in the same [...]
You can use conduits. I know everyone likes to use ACLs but conduits work great for me. Just add the following line and it should work. This will allow any thing on the outside network to get to public ip 195.x.x.x accross port 3389. Then your static command will push it to your internal IP. [...]
Why should you move the client’s AS400 into your office ? Anyway, there are ways to communicate between different physical locations and use an AS/400 via private data lines or via internet. Obviously, if you communicate thru Internet there must be proper firewalls and preferrably VPN type connection between the remote and local LAN. If [...]

For Windows XP, ghost is only good for backup. Not like before cause there are log of key generate to identify each work station on the network. Duplicate key will cause tons of other problem. Deploy winxp using the system preparation tool from MS
Windows server 2003 won’t care about your date. It only affect the system log and whatever program that will trace the date for license log.
I have about 40 XP Pro sp2 workstations that print to two different 4200TN printers with IP. The only problem I’ve had is that the driver install crashes with the latest version or if you choose the auto updated driver in the install. I have to use the CD.
IF you can find the registry entry for the internet temp folder size you can write a script to set the value when people login. I believe you will find the setting under the HKCU key and maybe a default setting under HKLM and/or HKEY_USERS/default. Then you can write a small script and schedule it [...]
hi niyas, based on my experience if you disable the netbios you won’t be able to browse the computers. the error shows abt duplicate name, not duplicate IP. you may search if any client is using the same netbios name as your PDC. nbtstat -a might help. gd luck
Hi, A software engineer from Help/Systems sent us his suggestion for solving this problem: “Ensure the DEBUG HUB is active on your system. If it is not active, enter the command STRTCPSVR *DBG to start the server.” I hope this helps. – Michelle, editor, Search400.com
What happens if you deny all and leave the allow box empty? No mail should pass through the connector at all to the outside world. Internal mail is not affected by these settings. You will need to restart the smtp service after changes. If you succeed in blocking all OGM try just adding a user [...]
Read: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platform/server/PAE/PAEmem.mspx You should end up with 7GB for applications. Just set the instances to a max memory setting of 1331MB.
If the key field is autonumber, then in your append statement do not include that field. When you run the query, Access will automatically increment the number in that field.
Check out a product called “Deep freeze” and its competitors. basically you get your pc the way you want it, then startup deepfreeze. users can make any changes they want, but a simple reboot wipes out all changes and returns pc to original condition. It takes a little extra work seting up pc’s but once [...]
What model Axis print server are you using?
I’m no VB guy, but you may want to give this a try. Instead of /user:/LocalACCOUNT/LOCALcomputerNAME, the RUNAS command is looking for the following syntax: /User:localcomputernamelocalusername. I don’t know if RUNAS behaves differently within VB, but that’s the command line syntax.
