Low level formatting for Microsoft Vista

I reinstalled vista os in hope of reinstalling a fresh copy of program, but the program installation it keeps on detecting old copy of this program. I had formatted both drives on machines. How can i remove these hidden program copies? Is there a better way of formatting?

Do you guys think, the new operating system Windows Vienna(7) will be better than the current Windows Vista? So far, it looks like the features of both the operating system are pretty similar, except Windows Vienna(7) will be a multi-touch operating system.

How can I install XP2 in a Toshiba Satellite A205
