Sun Java Messging system on ubuntu 7.10

Hi, has anyone installed the sun java communications suite on ubuntu. I currently do not have Redhat, but I have ubuntu 7.10. I have noticed that some linux commands differ in ubuntu. If I follow the Linux installation guide from Sun will it work?
