I was wondering why someone would have multiple memory packs for their laptop? If there is a filter on the laptop, by replacing the memory pack does that remove the filter from the previous memory pack? Thank you.

Where does the rest of the memory space in diskettes go?

Examples: in a floppy disk supposedly containgin 1.44mb about only 1.38+ is really available. in a flash drive of 1Gig, only about 986mb is really available.
