My question: Is it possible to use Yukon for one of the applications while other applications continue using SQL 2000. If so, can you please tell me the procedure for the same.

Thanks in advance.

Hi – we are in the process of encrypting various pieces of sensitive information in our SQL 2000 tables. For many fields we are using Blowfish 448 encryption and a concern has arisen about inline SQL statements that contain joins in our ASP scripts. Are there any scenarios that you have run across where there may be a problem with a join of encrypted data? Could there ever be an instance where the encrypted field (encrypted by Blowfish) in one table would be different from the field in another table given the same initial string, which upon executing the join would cause the join to fail?

To be more clear here is a quick example:
Table A has an encrypted account number column. Table B also has an encrypted account number column (same data). If we have a SQL statement that performs a join on the account number columns in the two tables is there any possibility that the join will fail because the Blowfish encryption somehow yielded a different value?

Any thoughts you have would be helpful.

Thanks,
Tim

We have
Windows 2003 Small Business Server R2
and Windows XP professional workstations.

The director of the company would like to operate the following scenario

He would like to send and receive his company emails as normal.
He would like his PA to receive a copy of all of his emails
He would also like to dictate the majority of his emails to his PA.
His PA would then send his emails from her computer.
As far as the recipient of the email is concerned, the email has come from the director.
The recipient would receive an email from ‘director@company.com’, weather the email was created on the director or the PA’s computer.

Can Exchange provide this arrangement?
I would much appreciate your advise.
Many Thanks

How can computers on a local network use Remote Web Workplace (RWW) and also access a sharepoint website via a browser or otherwise on SBS 2003 premium R2 on the same LAN without joining the domain on the SBS 2003 server?

Reason is that company A is trying to have its own network for data and business security but its partner company B whom they share a network with said it’s all or nothing; essentially that company A will have to remove all their computers from company B’s network/domain. But since they share data and other email domains it is impossible. So company A is compelled to remain on company B’s network until further notice while they are still able to access their internal data on the new server. Company A’s remote workers can access RWW with no issues but we need to find a RWW local access solution for company A users.
