Breaking into SAP – Programming or BI

Hi,
I have 5 years of programming experience in Mainframe. Now I want to switch and move into SAP. I did some research and found out that SAP (ABAP or Java) programming has lot of opportunities but has equal amount of consultants available. Then I did some research on BI. As far as I could understand, BI deals with reporting and analytics.
So, I would like to know which one should I go for. Also, would like to get some tips on how to make into a SAP career.
Any advice for me?

Mainframe versus AS/400 career

Hi , This is kennedy completed B.Tech(IT) last year and searching for the job.But still i did nt get any Now I decided to join in a course.For joining a course I have two options.One is AS400(Programming) and the next one is Mainframe As I am a fresher , I dont know much.So Please can any one help to take a decision that which would be good in future Thanks, Kennedy.

Hi,

I have done BCA in 2004 and since i am working in BPO industry. Now i am planning for changing my career path to IT. I have also done SQT in 2007. Few people have suggested me to do mainframes course from HTS, Noida and move into mainframes and some of them have suggested to do Unix Administration certfication. i am really confused and not sure what should i do. whether do some advanced course in testing,/mainframes or unix. Please advise
