Copying LTO 3 Drive to tape
We back up everynight to a LTO3 drive. Can we copy the tape to send it to multiple locations and not just store it in our datacenter? We use brightstore.

I have a LTO 3 tape drive that does not read my LTO2 tapes is this normal?
I have a LTO 3 tape drive that does not read my LTO2 tapes is this normal? I thought they were backwards compatible. I can read the LTO2 tapes in the LTO2 drive but not vice versa. It seems to be letting me write to them but not read them.

Proper Method of setting up a new Tape in Backup Exec 12.0
Using LTO 3 Ultrium Data Cartridges. What is the proper method to setting up a new tape. Should it be Labeled first then Inventoried or Inventoried and then labeled. Does the tape need to be cataloged. What are the proper steps to do this?

Because of too much information, my LTO drive has been spanning tapes. Last night it couldn’t span because the next tape was not in the same media set. I was asked to insert a tape, but I couldnt’ insert a tape because the drive was locked. Couldn’t unlock the drive because a job was running?! [...]
