We currently have 2 Sametime 8.5.1 server and 350+ users on Notes 8.5.2 using the embedded IM client. What are the methods of moving them from one server to another. I was able to accomplish this by replacing the community-config.XML. However, the contact list are duplicated because the previous server community is still there. It’s resolved if I remove the old server but I want to do this as seamless as possible.

Hi All, We are having lotus sametime 8.5.0. It is working very slow. I mean, while chatting a user’s message reaches the other person after 1-2 mins…what could be the reason…??

Issue with Lotus Sametime Connection relating to wireless dormant mode

I am having an issue with my Sametime. It “disconnects” every 20 seconds when my verizon wireless card goes into dormant mode. I recently upgraded my LN from 8.0.2 to 8.5.1. Prior to this upgrade, LN and Sametime were unaffected by the wireless activity.

Hi, I am new in the Lotus Sametime. I am facing the problem in that.I have 7.5.1 client version of sametime. on every machine in the startup its taking to much time. can anybody tell me why its takes time. Somebody told me that there is one more version of Lotus Sametime is 7.5.0 and I check on internet but i didnt get this version. can anybody help to you download the sametime client version 7.5.0.

Domino 8 Quota Issue

I have a few workstations that are domino 5 that i am migrating to a domino 8 server enviroment. The domino 5 mail files have thier templates updated and copied to the remote workstaions to provide a local mail file that only replicates mail changes at an interval. now my questin is that this all works fine untill i get an message about a quota on the local mail file when i didnt have one set. The servers copy of the mail file is fine and lets me send email with no issues, its just the local mail file that i copied onto the local pcs that is becoming annoying. Is it something to do with the template that they are updating to ? where is this function getting the results fo this message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Establish right hand margin in Lotus Notes Sametime

When I type an instant message in Sametime, the text wraps around nicely. When I send the message it shows up in the upper text box, but does not wrap around. It just keeps going and going to the right. I have to scroll to reach the text in the text box. How can I re-establish the right hand margin?

Licensing for Lotus Notes

I am wondering – If the company I work for is running Lotus 8, are we automatically licensed for IBM Sametime Connect 8 (the stand-alone client, not the integrated with Notes one)?
