In order to be able to send SMS using LN you have to do one of these two ways : 1- either you dedicate a Lotus Note SMTP server and agree with the telecommunications company to receive these emails and convert them in to SMS messages 2- Or you use a third party application like [...]
Upon what I understood from your question no need to create the categories (‘unclassified’ to ‘top secret’) I believe you can do the following 1- On the Lotus Domino administrator 2- Go to the configuration document of the Hub Administration server 3- Create a rule not to allow message to sent to this ” selection [...]

To simply access the Lotus Notes client workspace, do this: 1. Start your Lotus Notes client. 2. Single-LEFT-mouse-click on the “Databases” icon in the client’s bookmark bar (the vertical bar that runs up and down the far left side of your Lotus Notes client). 3. Single-LEFT-mouse-click on the “Workspace” icon. Or, to re-configure your Lotus [...]
Notes 8 / 8.5 is a radically different animal than 5 or 6. Things developed for 5 and 6 still work under 8 but there are substantial capabilities that are new to 7 / 8 / 8.5 – composite applications and xPages are the newest and unlike much that has gone before. While “Lotus Notes [...]
Some database on your machine must be corrupt. Because it is occuring as soon as you open Notes, I’m guessing it is your address book (names.nsf). It could also be the file that defines the workspace (desktop6.ndk). Try these steps. First, find your Lotus Notes Data directory. Find the file desktop6.ndk. Change its name to [...]
More information is necessary. Give an example of what you are trying to do and what program – is it in Access? JuJu
Hello Ali Ashraf, there ‘s <a href=”http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg247777.html”>an IBM document </a>that describes the process from Exchange 2003 to Domino but I could’nt find anything about older versions; you could have a look at this and try it on a lab environment. This <a href=”http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/Redbooks.nsf/RedbookAbstracts/sg246230.html?Open”>abstract </a>may also be of assistance. If you can aford a third party [...]
Yes dude.. you can use Lotus Notes Client 6.5.5 and Domino 8.0 server One thing to keep in mind if this is a mail server – <b>don’t</b> upgrade the mail template to 8 until the client is upgraded.
This is the full answer, from IBM Technote. ND 8 has a solution. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Also, there is a utility for at least some other versions. <a href=”http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=475&context=SSKTWP&dc=DB560&dc=DB520&uid=swg21094781&loc=en_US&cs=UTF-8&lang=en&rss=ct475lotus”>link</a> http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=475&context=SSKTWP&dc=DB560&dc=DB520&uid=swg21094781&loc=en_US&cs=UTF-8&lang=en&rss=ct475lotus There are “ways” to do this. However, it depends on your current environment. For example, the servers involved (the current and [...]
You could use a computed-for-display field. Hide the subject field. Make the formula for the cfd field something like @ReplaceSubstring( subject; “[SEC:UNCLASSIFIED”; “” )

After prompting the user for the missing information, Continue = False. I think that should do it. **ADDITION TO ABOVE** If the action causing the Save and Close is a Formula Language action you can use: @If(@Command([FileSave]); @Command([FileClose]); @Return(“”)) This means the document will only close if the save is successful, otherwise it will NOT [...]
Hi Local address book can be user globally but only with ur domain or by web access by enabling the synchinize contact from More – preference — Access & delegation & then replicate it to server.
Take a look at RowLabels in NotesRichTextTable class. Thanks, I forgot to mention I’m refering to Workspace tabs .. might this still applie? Or is it considered a folder?
Copy the files bookmark.nsf, desktop6.ndk, names.nsf, dircat.nsf, user.id (any_name.id), Mail (folder and user.dic. You can find those from C:Program FilesLotusNotesdata After installing the Lotus Notes on the new machine, copy over the files mentioned above on the same directory. Then proceed on the normal set-up. I’m assuming you know your Lotus notes server name.. because [...]
Did you try to rebuild all the views in Domino Directory on the server ? Try a Shift + Ctrl +F9 in the Names.nsf database
Go to Edit Current>Internet Browser > Select Notes With Internet Browser as your Internet Browser. Period .
I’ve seen this before when the length of time of the appointment/meeting was < 5 minutes or so. The time length is not long enough to show up in the view. Try taking one of the appointments/meeting and setting the time to 1 hour. I bet it will show up in the view.
If the database that houses the view data is available over HTTP, you could use the ?ReadViewEntries CGI to get the view data in an XML format, then use one of the available parsers to parse and build the information in a Rich Text field. Another option is to open the view and just bring [...]
