Hello.

I work in a company where our mail quota is quite small.
I received a meeting invitation with attachments, totalizing 3.5MB in my inbox. In order not to have 3.5MB stored at my calendar, I deleted the invitation without accepting or rejecting.

A few days later, I received one reschedule and two confirmations of the same invitation (10.5MB more) and deleted all 3 but they did not go to the trash even with my soft deleting thing being enabled.

Then I checked in “All Documents” and the last 3 messages were there (two confirmations and the reschedule). I deleted from “All Documents” and again they did not go to trash.

Even though I deleted from Inbox and All Documents, my mailbox quota was not reduced. That means that the 14MB of the four messages are still in my database. Considering that my limit is 80MB, thats quite a lot.

I tried compacting the database several times, archiving everything I could but nothing really helped. Not even the Help Desk from may company can help.

Please, give me some advice.

I am working on setting a default value for a feild in a view I have completed the web side of things but I was instructed to go into the postopen form and write something like if isnewdoc then default the daysopen field to a value of “1″. this is what i tried and it didn’t work any advice on how to do this.

If uidoc.IsNewdoc Then Set doc = uidoc.Document Call doc.ReplaceItemValue(“daysopen”,”1″)

Call doc.Save(True, False) Set doc = view.GetNextDocument(doc)

End If

How I could use postopen and put code in there so that “daysopen” would get a default value of 1. I originally did an if statement with @today in the field but that made it run far to slow. So I wrote an agent and now it runs faster it just doesn’t get the first day “1″ because the agent only runs once a day so until it runs it is blank. I need a code that would set the default in the client postopen that so it doesn’t slow it down. Any Ideas?

Please help me fix this.

PS. I am using a form for this and need to write code into the postopen form to get the default vavle

Lotus Notes 8 Requested Item does not exist

I had a notes user when trying to open up notes it gave him an error saying the requested item does not exist, I uninstalled notes and reinstalled it does not matter whose name I put in the same error says the requested item does not exist, then I copied his user.id file from Domino Admin now the error says user name not found in Domino Directory, I am out of ideas, so I installed notes on a completely new computer using his name and it gave the same The requested Item does not exist, any help would be great.

I need to know how to find all of the hard drives on a PC, determine if they are local or network. Then I need to be able to search all folder levels of each drive for .nsf files. Does anyone know the best way to do this?

I try to install Lotus Smartsuit 97 (originql CD) on Drive-D but the install aborts with the message “not enough space on drive C” (there is more then 1TB free!!). How can I continue?
