Just upgraded my desktop client from 6.5 to 8.5.1 FP4 & now when I try to open the administrator I get the message: No default domain found: Please set your administration preferences to the domains you want to manage.

How can I set the administrataor pref’s if I can’t open the administrator? What can I do to get access to the Domino administrator now?

Our Domino server is an AS/400 running Domino 6.0

How to upgrade Lotus Domino R5 to R7?

Hi,

I would like to upgrade few R5 server to R7. Servers are seperate to smtp server, mail server, database server. I have to upgrade one by one.

Can any one pls provide me the guideline to upgrade? How it works?
I will make a backup copy of each of the server.

Upgrade by install R7 to current R5 server and overwrite it? Or Install a fresh R7 copy? If install a fresh new R7 domino copy. How do I upgrade old data and templates? Names.nsf and so on?

Im quite confuse. Anyone can help? Many thanks!

We are planning to upgrade our Domino clustered servers from ver 7 to Ver8.5. We have clusted servers, one admin server and an SMTP server? What is the correct upgrade path to accomplish this? I am planning to upgrade admin server first and then 1 server /cluster initially. Is this the correct way ?

I’m new to lotus domino, our company is currently running lotus domino server 6.5.1 and will be getting new servers and upgrading to domino server 8.5, I have a test server now in which I installed domino server 8.5 how do I move current users on domino server 6.5.1 to domino server 8.5…I’m still in a test mode cause I am learning as I go so I would like to move users over a little at a time so not to loose there mail files.

We have two Lotus Domino servers. One has version 5.11 the other has been setup with 8.5. Can I convert a 5.11 mail database to 8.5 format ?

I have a couple Domino Servers (currently at 7.0.2.FP2) which I need to upgrade to the latest — I believe 7.0.3.FP1.

I’ve found all the various downloads from the IBM site — Maintenance Release (7.0.3) and the Fix Pack (FP1)

The documentation alludes to a Maintenance Release Document which should contain Installation Instructions — I’m having a hard time finding this.

Does anyone have an instruction sheet/checklist that I would follow for completing the upgrade?

Would appreciate it.
