Hello,

I have been trying to get this to work for a long time and seem to have hit a brick wall.

I’m trying to setup a Condensed Directory Catalogue that looks at the LDAP query in the Directory Assistance database. I have setup the CDC and this is working I know as I can tell it to run on Names.nsf and it works however when I tell it to use the DA database it does not seem to populate. I know the DA is working OK as I can run a LDAP lookup from a client on our Exchange directory.

Please can someone advise what I need to do to get the CDC to populate with our exchange directory?

From what information or fields is the LDAP built. We are having problems with users that have changed email addresses not getting through our SPAM filter because they are not being built on the SPAM filter because of the current LDAP. We are running Domino 8.0.2

A need for more than one mail journaling database

Is it possible to setup more than one mail journaling database on the same Domino 8.5 server? We need to collect a lot of incoming and outgoing messages for litigation purposes, and we are currently collecting all in one journalin Db. It would be nice to be able to have individual databases for each separate litigation.

Email attachments from Domino Server to IFS share?

Can an agent extract email attachments from a user’s mailbox, and move them to an IFS folder on another iSeries (AS400) box without notes cline running?

We have a generic email account that receives email attachments, but there are no Notes Clients that will be watching it, so this agent would have to react when new mail is received, and extract the attachment and drop it in an IFS share.

Can this be done?

Based on the new feature(ID vault) implemented in domino 8.5, i would like to access this new feature(idv vault) using java api. Like i want to mark it for inactive in id vault database for a particular user. and how to change the name.

Domino 8 Quota Issue

I have a few workstations that are domino 5 that i am migrating to a domino 8 server enviroment. The domino 5 mail files have thier templates updated and copied to the remote workstaions to provide a local mail file that only replicates mail changes at an interval. now my questin is that this all works fine untill i get an message about a quota on the local mail file when i didnt have one set. The servers copy of the mail file is fine and lets me send email with no issues, its just the local mail file that i copied onto the local pcs that is becoming annoying. Is it something to do with the template that they are updating to ? where is this function getting the results fo this message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Domino Server Troubleshoot Email Sent Multiple Times

We are running domino 8.0 on a Linux Server. We are using notes 8.02 on the clients. Some emails are being sent out more than once. It is not on all emails or all users but some emails are being sent once, then a second time and occasionally a third time. Sometimes they have an attachment and sometimes they don’t. There is sometimes a delay of a few minutes between messages but most often the delay is around 10 seconds. We used the message tracker and found that the original message and the repeat messages have the same unique message ID. They can be sent to internal addresses or external addresses. We are running a BES so we thought there might be a link there but not all users with the issue get email via a Blackberry. We have a clustered Domino server environment and one of the cluster members is off line right now but we don’t think that is the issue. We have not yet found a common thread.

Where can we look to find more information about why the messages are being repeated.

Lotus Domino Designer Book

Can anyone tell me what they think the best reference book is for Domino Designer? We are using Domino/Notes 8, but all of the books that I find available on Amazon (for example) are for 5 and 6. Is there that much of a difference or doesn’t it matter?
