Screensaver lockup in Ubuntu 8.04
I’m running a desktop windows XP machine. I installed Ubuntu 7.10 and created a dual boot, works like a charm. Then I upgraded to 8.04, still working great except in the Gnome desktop when the screensaver comes on it locks the computer down complete. Reboot is the only salvation. What’s the answer?

Network location cannot be reached
I have linux shared folder which can be seen from all other PC except this one PC only. My IP and Gateway seems all be okay. This PC has a multilanguage installed (Japannesse). Trying to access network by typing \10.217.1.29 which is my linux server. I got this error ‘The Network Location cannot be reached.’

Any way to view all C: drive files by size?
I’m looking for a way to recursively list all files on a Windows XP C: drive and sort them by size, similar to what you’d do with “ls -R” in Unix. Is there any way to do this?

We need to capture CPU utilization while load run of our testing in different environments (solaris, Linux, AIX) with single or multi cpu’s. In Solaris, presently we are capturing CPU utlization using prstat. In Linux there are many commands like vmstat, mpstat, top, sar etc. Which is the best and reliable command?

My e-mail server is getting a error response when sending mail to gmail accounts: status=deferred (host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[72.14.205.114] said: 451 4.5.0 SMTP protocol violation, see RFC 2821 s12si416928qbs.9 (in reply to end of DATA command)) What is it, and why this problem is only with the gmail server?
