FTP - problem with shared folder

i am trying to setup a ftp site in windows that offers content from a share located on linux. i type in the path to the network ressource located on linux but i get a response like this: \\192.168.150.50\linuxshare this is the response path not valid or not found

Virtual Box Sharing Feature (Vista=Host, Kubuntu=Guest)

Dear IT KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE, How can I set up a shared folder between a Windows Vista Host and a Kubuntu Guest? I have seen many tutorials explaining the reverse (Host = Ubuntu, Guest = Windows). I wish to understand more on cross-desktop sharing. Thank you.

I have linux shared folder which can be seen from all other PC except this one PC only. My IP and Gateway seems all be okay. This PC has a multilanguage installed (Japannesse).
