Hi, I have a modem/router provided by a service provider which I connected to a 24 port unmanaged SWITCH (linksys sr224), the current TCP/IP setting in all of my pc is in automatically obtained mode. Everytime the modem/router of the service provider is broken or not connected, my local area network is also having problems of not connecting to one another. Do I have to change the automatically obtain setting and provide an IP address to each of my pc whenever I am not connected to the modem/router or when I am only using the unmanaged switch?
