It has 4 500 GB hard drives set to RAID 0, and two hard drive controller cards so the hard drives are set in pairs as 1 master and 1 slave.

I don’t have a spare 500GB hard drive to replace the bad one with, and the external hard drive will not work without all 4 drives.

I didn’t have much time to mess with it, so I’m wondering anyone knows of a way to get it to use one hard drive controller card because I know that pair of hard drives works or if adding a different capacity hard drive will work. I appreciate any suggestions.

It disconnects at random times when it is in use. I have another LaCie 1.5GB Firewire drive connected to the same card and server that has no problems. The LaCie firmware updater gives me a BSOD on my server when I try to use it. Does anybody know how to fix this?
