Assets Movement analysis in JDE

In JD Edwards we want to track the movement of an item which is received under capital scheme. Presently any item received for capital assets is not moving to inventory (f4111). The entry is only moving to FA and GL.

Is there any option to have a track on movement of item received on capital Scheme. I mean to say after receipt of material , we want to issue that material to that branch plant who has raised the PR. Subsiquently we could be able to track when the item is consumed.

Provided this should happen without inflating the Value and Quantity of inventory. Because this is not part of inventory.

Is there any one to help me?

Dear All

I am Deepak Patnaik working in JK Paper Ltd. We use JD Edwards 8.0 version. Can you tell me when system will call which DMAAI at different level. We have DMAAI number like 4330, 4332, 4385 etc. At the time preparation of OV (Stores Receipt) it call 4385, some time it call 4332, similarly at PV time also.

So please make it clear how DMI works.

Upgradation from JDE 8.9 to 9.00 Is it only the Technical team will be involved or there is a roll of Functional Team ?

Will the entire mapping or the routing will have to be redifined?

What is the estimated time span for the change over ?

Invoking a webpage from JDE World 7.3

There is a requirement wherein data which is on a JDE World screen should be passed to a web page when a function key is pressed. On pressing of the particular function key, data which is on the JDE World screen must be passed to and displayed on the web page.

I need ideas about how this can be implemented.

Limited capability and ability to change initial program

We limited entering system level commands on our AS400 box by assigning initial JDE programs to user profiles. If they sign off from the applications (pressing F3 key), it kick them off from the session and gives them login screen. However we left limited capability set to *NO for all of them. Can they still change their initial program or menu, I,f first of al,l they do not have access to command line, and if yes how?
