CPYTOIMPF command on V5R4M5 functions different than V5R4M0
We upgraded from V5R4M0 to V5R4M5 and now we are getting null fillers when using the CPYTOIMPF on varchar columns. Before the upgrade the the same command would remove trailing blanks. Anyone had to deal with this problem. Thanks

Upgrade from system i 5.4 to 7.1 skipping 6.1
Has anyone upgraded directly to 7.1 from 5.4 skipping 6.1? Any gotchas not obvious. What’s your experience. Thanks.

iSeries OS upgrade response time problems
This weekend we just upgraded from V5R2M0 to V5R4M5. Everything appeared to work ok. This morning, there is between a 26 to 30 second lag time from when someone selects an interactive program to run and when that screen or menu actually appears. The WRKACTJOB status for that user during this lag time says LCKW, [...]
