HI,

I have a situation we have made 500 device description (e.g. IT01, IT02…) for display and assigned each workstation id to user. After creating devices we changed the system value QAUTOCFG=0 and QAUTOVRT=0.

Now If A user is using B user worksation ID so B user is unable to get signon screen and as a result B user has not choice to use C,D,E,F, … user workstation ID. This will create a big messup for us.

To control this kind of situation I beleve we can define somewhere in iseries or in windows workstation ID and IP address (static ip) but I could not figure out where and how.

If you have any clue or suggestion kindly guide me.

Thanks in advance.

We are installing I Series Access on a Dell Desktop with Vista Ultimate.
When we go to load the software we click on the language question and and it says I Series access being installed and immediately come up with the following message:
Could not read value version from key
SOFTWAREIBMClient AccessCurrentVersion. The install can not continue.
We have installed the software on two Dell Laptops using Vista Ultimate with out any problems. We have disable Windows Defender and User Account Control, uninstalled the Virus protection and sign on under the Administrator. We are using V6R1 of I Series Access.
IBM have been unable to help at this stage.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
