I'm using Wireshark, I want to know what's the data is sending to the Destination IP address using Wireshark. But it is showing in ASCII characters with lots of dots. How can I read the data? Ex: p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } *.H.. ..........0.. ......*.w\.P.:.....PH..?..p..F~......!.Z.a...

  • Transmission of IP Packets in TCP

I’ve read that IP packets can sometimes get lost in transmission and that TCP often requests retransmission of lost data.  How often are packets lost permanently?  What are the requirements for retransmission?  Are lost packets a security risk?
