Dlink router – cannot connect within Intranet

I have D-Link DSL-2640B router.
I’m not able to connect through Intranet, i.e. to another IP address within LAN, from a PC within the same LAN.

For example, I have activated SwiFTP server on my Android phone. To connect to it, I need to use 192.168.1.50 and port 2121 with an FTP-client. I’m unable to do so.
Same happens with VNC-server, which is 192.168.1.50:5801. Or, I believe, with any other port.

I’m also unable to do printer or folder sharing.

While in the other network, with different router everything works fine.

I’m able to ping that IP. I’m able to login into the router using the web interface and change settings.

As far as I know, “Firewall settings”, “Port Forwarding”, “Port Triggering” options in the router are for setting up access from WAN to LAN, though I’ve tried to play with those options too.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

For some reason, everytime I’m in SPF 2010 and opening a document in Word, I have to log in again. Is there some way to configure an SPF 2010 intranet so that we only log in once and that’s it? Thank you!

Is it possible to get remote access between two computers at different places over VPN network

If there are two systems running on VPN over broadband (broad band connection with only VPN facility over phone line provided with user name and password), is it possible to access the system at a different place knowing its login user name and password, where both systems are running on windows xp and same VPN over broad band connection. In that connection the systems will not be able to connect to internet and they will be able to access only [strong]intranet[/strong].

What is the best free open source application to use to create our intranet? We have HTML and Java developers on hand but would rather use a package. Is there anything out there that is customizable and easy to use? We need to have a file area, a forum and blog posts.

Uploading data on intranet by making shared folder

Hi,

I am looking into networks of a small firm. Last week i sucessfully loaded intranet for my own company for its employees.

Now i want people to upload files and folder via that intranet to some shared folders. I am totally clueless how and where to approch.
