Has anyone tried out Google Wave development? How easy has it been to dive in, and does interopability look promising? I’d love any thoughts on your experiences and whether it’s worth diving into.

windows password question

I recently purchased a computer from a “going out of business” sale for my fathers business and when I try to logon to Windows I get the logon screen with domain. I have a valid username and password but obviously i am not connected to a domain. I need to bypass this if possible. The safe mode trick that I see all over did not work. Please help as our business is suffering!!!

Remote Printing Problem

We have 2 HP Laserjet 2430TN printers configured as ‘Remote Printers’ on the AS/400. The 1st one was configured early in 2006 and is working perfect. The 2nd one was recently deployed. In our best efforts the 2nd printer was supposed to memic the 1st printer (except for the name & ip address). Now, here’s the problem. Whenever anything is printed to the 2nd printer (regardless of the number of pages) a 1 page report with the system name, user profile, and ip address is printed. As you can imagine this can waste a lot of paper. I would really appreciated some help on this topic.

Logon to network only works after a cold boot.

I’m wondering what would cause a person’s network logon to fail consistently after a reboot but succeed after a cold boot. This person’s computer locks up frequently, and it apparently is due to a hardware problem. The computer will be replaced, so my question is not about the lockup. However, when the computer locks up the user reboots and has trouble logging on to the network. After shutting the computer completely down and powering back on, she can log on. Windows 2003 network, single domain, Active Directory-integrated DNS. Windows XP OS on the desktop.

Windows Server 2003 Web Edition Configuration

I have been out of the web development arena for a few years and decided to brush up on new technology. I installed Windows Server 2003 Web Edition on my home domain and placed the machine in the DMZ. I published a basic page and all works well. I published a standard template forum from Frontpage 2003 and enabled Frontpage Server 2002 extensions on the web server (from the 2003 CD). The forum continues to error and tell me I have to use Frontpage Server Extensions.
I followed some additional online advise and tried to install Share Point Services and SQL 2005. SQL 2005 says it cannot be run on this edition of Windows??? And the Share Point Services did not seem to fix the issue either.
Any suggestions? Machine meets all hardware requirements for all applications. Domain is a Windows 2003 native domain.

Exchange 2003 not able to change send and receive file size limits

I have a user that needed to send a 50 Mb PDF file. His send and receive file size limits were 10Mb. So I changed them to 60 Mb but Exchange would not retain the new changes. It allowed me to make the change but is not retaining the changed settings and the user could still not send the file. Can someone help with this? Thank you.

Platform is Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2000
