I have a user and she is on our network and she is in a remote site. She has windows XP Pro she can connect to our home office. We have a VIOP CISCO phone system, there is a MPLS circuit that we use to communicate with each of our offices, She can access our exchange server and all of our file servers. She can do a remote desktop to our accounting server but when she tries to open the Internet it says cannot display this page. I have done a /release and /renew and that does not work i have replaced her IE8 and that seems not to work i have given her a static IP address and that does not work, I have logged into her machine using a different profile and that does not work i have scanned her computer for Virus’s, Maleware and Spyware and it finds nothing. Can someone please help me with this???!!!!!

We are trying to figure out a faster way to configure our user’s IE8 to be able to work with a specific site we use. We were able to add all the Trusted Sites using GPO and enabling our users but wasn’t able to see how to change the custom settings to Enable Active X and to Check and Uncheck specific boxes under the Advanced tab. Anyone know if this is possible with GPO. Maybe someone knows of a script that can be used and we can modify to configure what we need. Here are the details:

Client machine:
* Windows 7 Pro
* IE8

Server:
* Windows 2003 Standard Edition

Thanks

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems opening PDF links in IE8 when using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit with Adobe 9 Standard. I applied Adobe’s “fix”- to change the PDF Internet Settings within Adobe to make it so PDF’s do not open in browser but download externally. This works for some links, however some of the sites we go to generate the PDF through activeX with user defined scopes. These links just open to a blank page, the user has to click the link four or five times before the PDF is created and is viewable. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue completely?

-I have a corporate computer with Windows XP SP3 that installed East Asian Language pack for the need to type and read in Japanese.

-Recently , Internet Explorer is upgraded from Version 6 to 8 and after that, Outlook 2003 (SP3) is unable to print HTML emails with Japanese fonts properly anymore.

-For Japanese characters in email , it all become random numbers and English alphabets .

-Outlook 2003 still can read and show Japanese fonts properly in all emails and it just cannot print HTML format email with Japanese font properly.

-For plain text and RTF format emails with Japanese fonts can be printed properly.

-I checked IE8 and it can show and print Japanese webpages.

Hi all,
We have a user that has started having issues with using Webmail from his Lenovo Thinkpad W510. The OS is Win7 Pro and the browser is IE8. When he tries to send/reply/forward emails in Webmail the browser crashes. We tried having him use Firefox but it doesn’t load the same unless you use the IE Tab. When using the IE Tab in Firefox, the browser crashes also. It says DEP stopped it due to an Add On. I turned off all Add Ons but webmail won’t load the emails withough XML running. It crashes with all other Add Ons off. Thanks in advance for the help.
