I receive this error “Setup was unable to load the master information
file’ when I Install optional windows components.

I was going to add IIS but recieved this error.

Hi,

I would like to know if we can setup an Active-Active IIS Cluster using Windows Cluster services that shares a common storage to store web content and WITHOUT the use of Windows NLB.

I’m aware that this may not be a best practice or not a recommended setup, however, the setup is to be configured as below:

Two web servers running IIS 7.5 (needs a common storage for web content) for HA and another set of two servers for sql cluster in active-passive mode for HA.

Also is it possible to enable ARR on 2 node active-active IIS cluster for load balancing http requests?

Appreciate if someone replies with both pros & cons of the setup.

Hi,

i want to Create WebSites automatically per script and grant a local group as siteadmin. Create site is ok and works fine with appcmd.

But can I grant this IIS Manager permission (SiteAdmin) per script (appcmd ?). I don’t found any solution

IIS servers Reconfiguration

I’ve got IIS running on 2 servers with one external IP. Running 6.0

on the main and 7.0 on the other. The second server is running

SharePoint as well and needs to be accessed from the outside. I could

probably change the port 80 on that server and then reconfigure the

router but I’d prefer to leave that as it is. Is there a

way to somehow reconfigure IIS on the main server to redirect to the

other one when request are coming to a particular header?

Backup process for several IIS hosted website

Can we create an automated process for backing up several IIS hosted websites? We want 3 backups spread out over the course of the day and it should also include mySql backups as well.
