With V6R1 a new type of UDFS (user defined file system) was released. The purpose is for apps which stores temporary data on the system. A claimed performance increase of 70+ percent makes this very interesting. Someone pls hint me where to read more about how to implement and use this new functionality.

Problem with copying from IFS to pc.
I need to copy a savf of a library to my pc. I’ve saved the library in a savf, run the cpytostmf command to put in on the IFS in a folder off of the root. When I try to drag it to my desktop, I get ‘Access denied…’ message box.
