Network Issues Only Dropping PC5250 Sessions That Are Not Frequently Used

We currently have a site that is occasionally having a network issue(PING commands shows connection verification stats of 2 of 5, 3 of 5, etc. or round trip speed in the 150 – 300 range instead of normal 50 – 80 range). In this scenario User A uses the AS/400 all the time and doesn’t get dropped. User B uses the AS/400 sparingly and will get dropped. I see this each and every time a particular site has a slow connection speed for whatever reason. Why doesn’t User A get dropped as well? We do not end sessions that are inactive, since we have learned that it can cause file corruption, but these are the types of sessions that will end when we have a shaky network connection. Any insight? Thank you.

Echo AS400 job log to Display file

Is there a way or freeware utility to display each line or step of a job to a display file as they execute? Each job would add a new “line” to the display file as it ran so that you would see the last 20 or so job steps on the 5250 screen. I’m using the SNDPGMMGS command but it just shows one line at the bottom of the display. I’d like to see a running list of the steps completed as each step runs. I’ve seen this in some software package upgrades I’ve installed but I can’t find any way to this with my own CL programs and jobs.

How can I automate the signon of a user to a 5250 device at IPL

I have 2 Intermec 5250 Devices that we use as time clocks. When we bring the system down for maintenance and IPL – I currently have to have someone drive to 2 locations to sign these on in order for the timeclocks to be accessible

CWBAD1003-iSeries Navigator Application Administration setting prevent PC5250 Emulator from running or copleting. To change the restriction, see you administrator.
I am the administrator and have QSECOFR privilages. and this message recived in my ID. how I reslove this problem
