I have tried using *Exclude for *Public and it blocks all users with a *USER for user class but does not block the users with a *SYSOPR user class and they are the ones I need to block. Anyone have any ideas. I have never built an authorization list so I’m not sure even where to start with building one. Thanks for any help

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can give me some advise regards to backing up and restoring using Arcserve.

We have establihed a link from the Network LTO3 backup tape library using Arcserve and have managed to Save and Restore a library.

My questions are as follows:

1) How would I be able to do a full SAVSYS using this, as far as I am concerned, you need to bring the system down to a restricted state to do this which means TCP/IP will be down so Arcserve will not be able to save all of the libraries (actually none at all)

2) If there is a solution to this and we should need to do a full DRP Recovery from this media, how would I tell the AS400 to talk to this device to load operating system and all the other stuff from this tape library

Thanks in advancej for any advice given

Regards,

Julie
