Hello,
I had assumed that it is extremely unlikely that updating windows explorer would cause a computer to crash, however my girlfriend’s mother believes that this is what caused her computer to fail to boot. I am guessing a boot.ini problem or hard drive failure since the BIOS menus are showing up and functional, however I don’t think she will believe me until she gets an answer from a forum of professionals. Has anyone here heard of such a thing, or outline an instance in which this could conceivably be the case?

Thanks,
Dave
