Exchange 2003 vs Gmail for the enterprise

Our organization currently hosts its email inhouse using Microsoft Exchange 2003, but we are considering moving email to gmail for business (an offering under the Google Apps suite). Can anyone provide insight into the pros and cons of moving email from an inhouse solution to a hosted solution, more specifically to a hosted gmail solution? Ideally I would like real world experiences from someone who has done this before in an SMB environment.

Does anyone know of a sync software to get from Outlook x64 to Google Calendar? Google Sync doesn’t work as it is still x86 only.

free feature for just this for fewer than 50 users. When I went to their
site I only saw paid options. How can I get the free service?

Firewall and Google Maps

Hi All

I have an issue at work, I have a user that needs access to google maps and only google maps.
Can anyone tell me what IP addresses maps.google.ie use because I have added 21 different IP addresses to the firewall rule and the user still cannot gain access

Also I know how to configure a firewall so its not the configuration that is stopping me.

Does anyone use Google apps instead of Exchange Server? We are thinking of using google instead of Exchange. Of course there would be a huge cost savings. We are a non profit so we would get Apps for free. What are the pros and cons of Apps compared to Exchange Server. We mostly would use the Global address book and shared calendars.

I use googleapps standard edition to send and receive my business emails. Domain (abc.com) is hosted by ixwebhosting and MX records point to 1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.

I have installed Small business Server 2003 R2 but am unable to send and receive emails.

Is it possible for exchange POP3 connector to send and receive emails from gmail (googleapps)? If so, why i am unable to send/receive emails?
