File allocated-next gdg created
Have a scenario of a job that will run everyday, but should only create new gdg file, if it is Saturday. How can I keep from producing an empty dataset,Mon-Fri?

i have a gdg backupfile which runs biweekly, input comes from 2 files, now i need to create a header on the backup gdg, so that accessibility in the future would be easy, can you please help me regarding the code

ftp gdg from mainframe to ftp server
I am having trouble picking up the latest GDG from the mainframe a placing it on the ftp server. The ftp commands do not seem to interpret (0) as the latest gdg. If I put in the G000V00 number then the file transfers fine. Please help.
