Hi,

I need to ftp from IFS of a AS400 to a remote server using encrypted/secure transfer.

Destination server may not be necessarily an AS400.

I am able to transfer the reports simply, but it has to be encrypted/secure.

Question is:

I have a shell script written for moving the flat file from FTP server(Windows Operating System) to SAP Application server (Linux Operating System). I donot have a access to execute that script at linux level but i can write a ABAP program to execute the same so that the script will move the flat file from remote server(FTP) to local server (App server). I requesting, could you plz provide me the ABAP code to call the script? Also i have a no.of questions to ask. i will come one by one.

Why only asking sandeep means. He posted a newsletter that how to move a file from one folder to another folder. i am expecting the similar answers. also, i beleive somebody also could do. hope its not hurting anybody. sorry.

We have security concerns. How should we set up our Windows Server 2003 to be a FTP server with the least amount of risk? We need ftp but would like to lock it down as much as possible.

Can we let Active Directory 2003 domain users to use their AD credentials to log into Windows 2003 FTP servers? Can we allow single sign on so they would not technically have to authenticate on each connection?

Hi Anyone Please help.. I need to pull from the as400 via ftp a file onto the pc. I tried the following: I have run ftp on the run command entering both the logon and password. I have done a dir dir 227 Entering Passive Mode (10,44,164,2,119,23). 125 List started. QPGMR 122880 08/06/11 05:05:00 *FILE FHLOCEDI QPGMR *MEM FHLOCEDI.FHLOCEDI 250 List completed. get fhlocedi 227 Entering Passive Mode (10,44,164,2,87,87). 550 Request rejected. Please help

I am working on putting together a web server using Apache 2.2.14 on Ubuntu Server 10.04 64 bit. I plan on having 10+ virtual host on the server. I would like for there to be ftp access to each virtual host, but I’m not sure what the best way to do that is.
