How can you tell if the fibre channel hbas are in initiator or target mode in a NettApp SAN? Software/Hardware used: Netapp SAN, HBA

Fibre Channel or ISCSI for SAN

We have a SAN that is mission critical to the business. Performance and availabilty are key. I have read that I should lean towards fibre channel for this versus ISCSI but was curious if anyone has seen a noticable difference. Software/Hardware used: Fibre Channel, SAN, ISCSI
