Fault tolerance on a web server
What is the best way to have fault tolerance on our web server? We have a few backup machines all identical that get replicated via scripts every 10 minutes. How cab we automatically fail over to another already configured box if the primary production machine fails? Is this some DNS magic?

Standard practice for servicing UPS in a data center
What do you do in a large datacenter environment that needs to have the UPS serviced? We are adding a second one for fault tolerance but will need to disconnect power for chunks of time. What is safe? What is standard practices?
