How is this done? I need to know from start to finsh what I need to do. I’m an intern for my company and I have been assigned this task. I’m raw when it comes to IT work. I really need some what a step by step process on what to do. I’ve been looking around in the Reg.exe file and I’ve come across some things that I may be using, but I honestly don’t know for sure what to do. Also could you explain exactly what it means to migrate DNS entries. What am I trying to do and so forth?

Is there a way to change the compatibility options on an executable file in a batch file? I’d like to be able to set it to run as “xp sp2″ or run as administrator.

Is there a way to do that?

Shared folder access to domain users on Windows Server 2008 network

I have 4 servers and 100 clients, One of my server is file server and i created a common shared folder for all users for transfer files and folder. I have given full access to domain users but when user try to paste exe file from network, a message appear access denied.

Please guide why user not able to paste exe from network.

anybody help me get a bat file to kill a exe with a if statement .

TASKKILL /F /IM “test.exe” solves but another supporting exe which monitors the test.exe kicks in and relaunches the exe again. I need to run this as a scheduled task daily once and kills until test.exe is killed.

Checking Email from Command Prompt

I am aware of many applications that allow you to send email from the command line. My favorite is ‘sendEmail’ which I use in batch files and ‘.exe’s’ to retrieve logs and files from my client’s computers when trouble shooting their software.

What I cannot find is a way to check email or receive notices through a command line utility. I would like to have a way to at least check a designated inbox or even receive notice of an incoming email.

Any ideas on how this can be done?

Cannot show only one file extension

After i used Anti Virus Software to kill virus in my computer.But i can not still show file extension “.exe”. Note: other files can show all extension. but only file extension “.exe”. How can i sovle it? please tell me. waiting to hear u soon.
