If he is expecting you to update a distribution list he created then he needs to give you permissions to his contacts and his mailbox. Otherwise if he sends you the list and you update it , it is not going to update in his contacts list.
Could you use a browser?
Within your Outlook add to the column (field chooser, “Email Account”. You then can sort it by the actual e-mail address.
I would suggest you try the <a href=”http://www.powergui.org/index.jspa”>PowerGUI utility</a>. It does a great job of querying AD for groups and users.
Do a search for .pst files and incude hidden folders. unless you had your pst file on a network drive it should be there on your pc.
If the error is from the RECIPIENT’s SMTP server, then that is something the recipient needs to invesitgate. How about more details please? Thanks.
Sometimes when you move a mailbox a “piece” of that mailbox is left behind although the user will no longer connect with it. They will connect to the “second” one with actual data on the new data store to which you moved it. The old one will purge off after thirty days or you can [...]
You can use <a href=”http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=55fdffd7-1878-4637-9808-1e21abb3ae37&displaylang=en”>MFCMAPI</a> for this. But acceptances are still going to go to the original organizer of the meeting.
We are going to need more information to successfully diagnose and resolve your issue. What is your patch level on your Exchange server? What is/are the error message you get with the NDR, or have you not yet gotten an NDR? You can also open the Exchange Management Console, click on the Tools entry in [...]
As Technochic mentions, giving us additional information (such as what operating system, which can be a major factor) helps us help you. In the meantime, you could also try this: 1. Go to Start – Run – type in “msconfig”, and click the Startup Tab. 2. Click “disable all” (button on the bottom right), then [...]
If you have Notes installed at home and your id. Just setup Notes, then once it’s open, go to File -> database -> Open and just browse to where ever your archive is located.
You can do that directly at Exchange. You can set it globally (all mailboxes) or individual users. Globally: Start Exchange System Manager. Expand Global Settings. Right-click Message Delivery, and then click Properties. Click the Default tab to configure the global settings. Individually: Start the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in, and then locate the user [...]
This is difficult to stop unless you use some spam filtering solution. The FROM address is very easy to spoof as you are seeing. This is a weakness in the SMTP protocol. A spam filtering solution should use a list of permitted directory addresses. Any non-permitted (listed) address should be dropped and not delivered. You [...]

You may want to review that you are not logging in as a “temp” account profile due to local permissions, space, etc. Go here to find out if you do: To locate the list of local user profiles, right-click My Computer, click Properties, and then click Settings on the Advanced tab under User Profile. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/294887 [...]
You will need to do this from the server on which the storage group resides. The command is looking for the mail store locally and cannot find it.
I have not had any feedback yet. So far the most suitable software I’ve discovered is probably Mail Marshal. Unfortunately, pricing is per user and since we have over 200 users, it is not a viable option. I hope someone in this forum has a better suggestion *************** Scheduling emails is still an option in [...]
A loose guide; kind of in order: Start with getting a sense of what they need the network to do. An eight person video editing team has drastically different requirements than an eight person sales team has different requirements from an eight person engineering team. Then talk budget – this will likely be the largest [...]
Sorry Denis, you missed the step-by-step process by not using the migration white paper procedures. There is no basic after the fact easy step-by-step process. What about the company website? User data? Fax? Printers? How do your two SBS servers like fighting over DHCP? When you say, move the clients to the new server, are [...]

If they are hidden somehow, you could try going to View —> Current View —> make sure that “Show All Messages” is selected. I would advise checking all mail folders, in case they were accidentally dragged into one of [...]
