Exchange error in services after hard system downing.
I am sorry I can’t help you with your Error problem, but I do have something you can look into for receiving e-mails wirelessly. I have done some research on wireless e-mail cause we are looking into ourselves. The best solution I have found is a software called Goodlink. Information at http://www.good.com. If you happen [...]

configure EXchange 2000 to collect mail from External mail server(ISP mail server)
Rule one – do not put your Exchange server where it’s directly accessible from the outside, so not in your DMZ nor directly connected to the internet in any way. You need to relay mail from the outside to your internal network. ISA server will do this with a feature pack, or you can use [...]

Cannot email public folder after migration to Exchange 2003
I found this in a newsgroup: Numerical Code: 5.1.6 First Available: Exchange 2000 Service Pack 2 Possible Cause: One possible cause is that the user directory attributes such as homeMDB or msExchHomeServerName might be missing or corrupted. Troubleshooting: Check the user directory attributes integrity and rerun the Recipient Update Service to make sure attributes required [...]

Disclaimer text for all e-mail in Exchange
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=317680 The link above is the best way that I have found. Another alternative is if you have a SPAM gateway appliance – there is an option to add footer text in some of them.

Domino Consulting?
Domino shops are not concentrated in any one area any more… at least to my observation. If your skill set includes Java development and you have some skill with integrating Notes and WebSphere I would say you would have a chance of making it happen. The problem is going to be in locating your clients [...]

Lotus Script Error Message: Subscript out of range.
Without seeing the code, my guess is that your “Subscript out of range” issue is due to the array(s) in the program not being DIMensioned with enough elements. Check the loop that is used to update the array(s) and see if the original programmer has included code to count the number of items being processed [...]

How do I limit access to a Group in the Address Book?
That depends on the version. From 6 onwards follow the instructions in the admin’s guide. For earlier versions and for extra flexibility including the ability to delay messages or submit for approval before sending see Groupmailer on www.mailrat.net Not free but cheap.

Domino 6.5 Smart Upgrade
When we asked the question if that was possible to IBM they did not recommend it. We plan to use the Smart Upgrade feature to go to 7 when it goes gold, but we scripted our own utility and created our own upgrade plan to move from R5 to R6.5.1

Notes mail via Outlook Express
If the Domino server is running the IMAP task (or POP3), then the Outlook Express client can retrieve mail from the domino server. This is simple to setup if the user has access to the server but this may require a modification to your firewall specifically for that user if you don’t want to open [...]

Internet pages
I’ve run into the same problem. Some of the responses in user groups have been to change the Internet settings in the Location doc to “Notes with Internet Explorer” save and exit the Location doc, then change the settings back to “Microsoft Internet Explorer”. I tried this and it worked on one email, but that [...]

LotusScript Code for Notes user creation.
Some important questions here: Version of Notes – Exch (and am presuming Win NT4). It sounds like you are dealing with Exchange 5.*, Windows NT 4 and Notes {doesn’t matter}, Since active directory would allow you to create the Windows Domain accounts, including exchange MB and then the Domino Synch tool would import those users. [...]

Mailbox/Calendar Authority
Can we assume that the user can change other preferences, just not colors? As the owner then she is listed as such on the Mail/Basics tab? What is her access in the ACL? Have you tried replacing the design of the mail file? Can other ‘normal’ users change the colors OK?

Domino/Lotus Database Replication
We already do that – our web site is hosted externally by an ISP and we replicate documents from our internal LAN. To do this, we simply created connection documents from the internal pointing to the ‘external’ IP address of the external server, and opened up the firewall to port 1352 for just the two [...]

Adding Locations automatically to Lotus Notes by running a file
I think in this situation, without additional details on who or why, the simplist thing to do would be to create an empty database based on the personal address book and creat the location document there. Then you could send the database as an attachement to the user and have them copy and paste them [...]
