If I delete the user in AD, is the mailbox and it contents automatically deleted? If the user is disabled, I don’t think the mailbox is deleted, but how would I get in there to delete out email? What is the best way to handle this? If nothing else mailboxes that still exist will accumulate junk mail.

Hi.

My problem began when I used ghost to image from the small hard disk to bigger hard disk. There are no problems for all users before imaged both AD (server 2003) and Exchange 2003. However, the problems happen only in exchange server to all new user / re-enable users after ghosted. For the new user, he/she can login on workstation ok but everytimes when I try to login to his/her email via outlook, I will get an error message “The name could not be match to a name in the address list”. Also new user can not login to exchange via web outlook either. For re-enable users, he/she will able to login to his/her email only via outlook in the office but he/she will not able to email login via web outlook anywhere even in the office.

Do you have any ideas to solve these problems?

thanks in advanced

dlalls

I have created a couple of new users on my exchange server and also configured them on the BES server (selected the users from the address book on the BES server). These new users are all there and their info looks the same as all of the other BES users. When I try to assign them a blackberry I get a message saying ‘an error occured while assigning the device to the user. The user is not yet known to the blackberry agent. This initialization may take several minutes. This message is still on the screen after an hour. I have tried removing and re assigning a new user but it still fails.. Is there something basic that I am missing. This is the first new use that I have put onto the system, but I have addigned existing users with new devices.
