Recently I had a enduser who had a corrupted profile on the network. We created the user a new profile and now am trying to reconnect thier old mailbox to the new profile. The old profile has been removed. t when attempting to reconnect the old mailbox the option to reconnect is grayed out. I currently have exchange domain and admin privilieges on the network servers The endusers mailbox is around 600MB, the network default is currently at 1GB. So my problem is trying to get the old mailbox to associate with the new profile. Any suggestions?

I’ve been doing access for years, but only really developing one mdb at a time. My new job has me working on this product called UA, which does some pretty slick stuff that I haven’t seen before.. Always fun to learn.

Anyway, this product has multiple mde’s that all are “called” from a main System Manger.mdb. When System Manager opens a form in one of the mde files that mde is now open, and has a related ldf.
I am trying to write a script (in a module) to check to see if updates are available, and if so, copy new versions of the mde file(s) down from the server to the local hard drive. However, if one of these files is open, the copy files (obviously).

How do I check to see if these files are in use, and if so, close them so I can copy a new version in?

Thanks in advance!

We have a user that is not receiving certain emails. It doesn’t happen all the time. He emails himself an itinerary from out Calypso system. I checked our Symantec Brightmail and it shows that it went through without a problem. I also checked the Exchange System Manager and that shows the emails have been delivered to his mailbox store. I ran an advanced search of his mailbox and I can’t find the email. Does anyone have any ideas of what could have happened to the email. When another user emails themselves the same itinerary they receive it. We have them running MS Outlook 2003 on WinXP SP3. Our Exchange is also 2003. Appreciate the help.

I added a second exchange to my network so that I could move all my mailboxes over and retire the exsisting server. The problem I am running across is that the install went along fine, I see my new exchange server in the ESM, I created a new user and linked him to the new exchange. When I configure that outlook for the new account, i enter in the exchange name and user name, hit check name and it gives me an “operation failed” error. i hit finish and it sets up the mailbox but then I am prompt for credentials to connect to my original exchange server. I keep getting prompted, i am able to send and receive between user accounts on the different exchanges, but i am repeatedly ask for my credentials for both exchange servers, i hit cancel and it goes away and shows my exchange connection offline. I am confused at this point, i’ve been looking on the web for answers, i have both my mx records set for priority 10, is this correct? did i miss a set somewhere? and help would be appreciated.
