Hi there,
I am after some advice to a strange problem. I have taken on a new role with a company and we have two exchange servers, one of which i need to decommission.
My problem is i want to move all the Mailboxes off Server2 but I don’t have the option of Server1 in the Move Mailbox wizard?
I am far from an Exchange wiz but have a little experience and have never come across this before? I can see the server fine in First Administrative>Servers.
It is Exchange 2000 and Server1 is set up as front end and Server2 backend.
Hopefully i havent missed something very simple and Many thanks in advance!
Matt

We have a mailbox that is used by one of our departments that has a lot of folders and saved emails. I have allowed 4 users to view this large mailbox from within their own mailbox. When they open their mailboxes it generates an event id 9646. I understand that there are to many objects and I can change the registry to allow more objects and eliminate this error message. The MS article led me to belive that by doing this it could have adverse effects on the operation of our exchange server. What are my options? Archiving the large mailbox is out. Can I make that mailbox a public folder and avoid generating this event id? Is there more underlying issues happening that I am not aware of? Thanks for any help!
