Resource calendars: deleting cancelled meetings?

My company has set up resource calendars in Exchange to manage meetings for our conference rooms. However, whenever someone cancels a meeting, the meeting does not get deleted from the resource calendar. Instead, it just shows as a cancelled meeting. Can BES synch a shared Exchange public calendar with a BlackBerry?

Does a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) have the ability to synchronize a shared Exchange Server public calendar with a BlackBerry device? Or can Exchange Server 2003 do this on its own with a Windows Mobile device?
