I have a Backup of an Exchange 2007 edb file, which contains public folder data. Is there any way to mount this edb file, or extract public folder data from it, without dropping $1000 on OnTrack Powercontrols?

  • How do I recover an orphaned Exchange 2003 Public EDB to Exchange 2007?

Hi, 10 days ago I lost my c: drive on an SBS 2003 system. As I was in for a Server rebuild, I decided to rebuild with SBS 2008 (possibly a rash decision!) I have successfully recovered our 2 main mailboxes (we are a small business!), and therefore everything we need from the Private EDB, by copying...

  • Exchange server restoring selected mailboxes from edb file

I have *.edb, *.GUID and *.log files as backups for some Storage Groups. Is there a way to list the mailboxes from these files alone and restore a specific mailbox to the exchange server? Is there a way to accomplish my requirement without having to purchase a third party tool?

I am debating on purchasing Exchange 2007 or 2010. As of sp2 of 2007 you can do a host backup with a exchange 2007 guest and it will do the exchange back and clear the log files. My question is does exchange 2010 do the same thing? or do i have it wrong about 2007?
